Los Altos Community Foundation (LACF) is pleased to announce that Adin C. Miller has been appointed as its new executive director. Miller succeeds Joe Eyre, who is retiring after six years leading the Foundation. His official start date is January 27, 2020.

Miller brings nearly 25 years of proven experience in leading nonprofit organizations to achieve their greatest impact and advance social change. Respected locally and nationally, he most recently served as a consultant for a range of nonprofits and philanthropies where he directed strategic program efforts for domestic and international organizations. Prior to that, Miller held executive and senior roles at the Jewish Community Federation (JCF) of San Francisco, The Peninsula, Marin, and Sonoma Counties, and the American Legacy Foundation (now the Truth Initiative). He also served as Special Advisor (consultant) to the Executive Director of Firelight Foundation.

“I’m excited and honored for the opportunity to lead LACF and amplify its role in building and contributing to local philanthropy in Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, and Mountain View to ensure thriving communities for many years to come,” said Miller. “I look forward to working with the board, staff, and community leaders in engaging more local donors, nonprofit organizations, and volunteers in our mission and work.”

“We are delighted to welcome Adin to Los Altos Community Foundation,” said Jean Limbach and Mike Kasperzak, co-chairs of the Foundation’s board of directors. “We’re confident that under his leadership LACF will continue to grow. Adin is well-versed on the issues and trends affecting our region and we have no doubt that he will increase our impact in the three communities we serve. The board would also like to thank Joe Eyre for his leadership as executive director of the Foundation; his many contributions have well-positioned LACF for the future.”

Miller holds an MPA degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, a BA from Brandeis University, and a Strategic Public Sector Negotiation certificate from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. A graduate of LACF’s 2019 LEAD program and a former board member, he lives in Mountain View, CA with his wife and two sons.
