Sunset Hike at Rancho San Vicente with POST

Just south of San Jose on the west side of Santa Clara Valley, sits Calero County Park, a beautiful oak woodland that POST recently helped expand by protecting Rancho San Vicente. This hike will explore the newest addition to the park in the late afternoon light, providing views of glowing grassy hilltops, silhouetted oaks, and the Calero Reservoir. You will be joined by representatives of POST who will explain our contributions to Calero County Park, and the several other open spaces that make up an important area of protected habitat. We will hike 7.8 miles along the Lisa Killough and Cottle trails. The hike is primarily along a ridge, though there is approximately 350ft of elevation gain at the beginning of the loop. We will share more details about the event including meetup location with guests who register, closer to the event.
