Marcus Shelby Trio
Bay Area Jazz veteran Marcus Shelby, described by the SF Weekly as an "always in-demand bassist, composer, bandleader and educator" comes to Tateuchi Hall for an evening of jazz performance with the Marcus Shelby Trio. Blending music and activism, Shelby's work focuses on sharing the history, present, and future of African American lives, and on social movements in the United States.
